Dales Solicitors LLP was born on 1 July 2012 but the origins of the Firm go back much further.

Originally a “one man band”, the Firm started trading as John M Dale & Co on 1 October 1986. John combined his interest in farming with his legal knowledge to quickly establish a practice with a burgeoning farming client base.

In 1991, John met up with a Paisley solicitor with an interest in Limousin cattle. The Firm soon morphed into Dale & Marshall, which continued trading until June 2008 when the firm merged with established Ayrshire Firm McSherry Halliday. The new Firm traded as McSherry Halliday Dale & Marshall until 1 June 2012 when the green shoots of Dales Solicitors LLP emerged to continue trading at Galston.

Dales Solicitors is, at its core, a family business. The personnel of the Firm comprises four family members, John Dale, Alastair Dale, Jennifer McFadzean nee Dale, and the rural property purchases and sales team is headed up by George Dale.
